The latest 3D gadget to hit the stores is a 3D webcam called ‘Minoru’, meaning “Reality” in Japanese. Utilising two inbuilt web cameras, the Minoru shoots in a left eye / right eye perspective. Then simple software weaves the two images over each other (slightly out of sync horizontally) and tints one red and the other blue. You need to wear the classic 3D glasses to view the images in 3D. According to the manufacturer: “Your friends and family can now see you in 3D over your favourite messaging program like Windows Live Messenger, Skype, AOL instant messenger, OoVoo and many others. You can also take 3D photos or even shoot 3D videos and upload them to YouTube.” I think a 3D porn industry just grew overnight!
